Blog Hop With a Difference - Julie

Hello Friends!

Well I think I am doing this a tiny bit late but I am as sick as a dog at the moment!

My two youngest Children and I seem to be having a tag team of illness!

One after the other for about 3 months now.

Too many sleepless nights, doling out medicine, changing beds and lots of cuddles! LOL!

It has taken its toll on me, I feel so drained and have a constant headache and cough.

But its time to get down to business! LOL

I was asked by my good friend Mikha to join in this Blog Hop.

I first got to know Mikha when we were on the Dreamtime Designs Craft Challenge Design Team together. She was always so kind and friendly, and I just adore her work. We have been friends and in contact ever since.

Now for a bit of info about me!

I started off with card making when my first son was born. 22 years ago! Stuck at home I needed a hobby. A friend invited me to a card making party, and I was hooked.

I now have 5 children!

Over the years I have taught card making classes and worked in a Scrapbooking Store.

At the moment I am a stay at home Mum again with my last Little man Darcy 3 still at home.

I am kept busy with 7 Design Teams to create for!

1. What am I working on?

At the moment I am creating 10 DT Cards for the next week, this includes 2 Guest DT Spots. Also I am creating 8 cards for Kitty Lane Stamps.

I am very busy! LOL x

2.  How does my work differ from others of its genre?

Well this is tricky! LOL I dont know if my work is all that different! I know my style has chamged a lot over the last few years. Since I started to look online. I used to use only rubber stamps, but now I use a lot of Digital Stamps. I also love to use a lot of embellishments and my Signature has become Butterflies, which I use on almost all of my Cards.

3.  Why do I write/create what I do?

I create cards for relaxation and enjoyment! I don't think I could be happy if I didn't have a big mess of crafty stuff surrounding me, a creation to dream about and something always on the go! 

4.  How does your writing/creating process work?

Well I know that quite often, I spend days thinking about what I am going to do before I actually start! Then It is time to print/stamp, colour, choose papers and embellishments and get stuck in. I find the embellishing the fun part.
