Aussie My-Besties Challenge -

Anything but a Card

Hello and welcome to all of my wonderful new followers! And I want to say I have just been loving the great comments I have been getting! I feel as if I have a heap of new friends out there in the Crafty/Card Making Blog land!

Everyone is so supportive, and encouraging!

Thank you to you all! xoxoxox

I have been very busy this week with Design Team creations for 5 teams, and a lot of card orders as well. I have been struggling to get work done with my little ones demanding so much of my time. I had 3 very late nights during the week, which I found was great! Peace and quite, and I achieved a lot as well. I think it might have to be a regular thing for a while! he he.

I have been getting to know my new team mates as well on the Dreamtime Designs Craft Challenge Blog (DDCC) and the Sami Stamps Blog! And I must say they are all lovely, full of enthusiasm and very, very talented!  I see I will be picking their brains and getting lots of advise and ideas from them.

I guess I had better show you my latest creation now! lol.
I am very excited about this, as I have been thinking about and planning this for a long time!

Well here she is!

I started out with a Clock purchased from my Local cheap shop. When I saw Sherri's latest Bestie Designs I fell in love and wanted to make a project with them. They fitted my Paris Theme perfectly!

My first challenge was to enlarge the clock so I could fit all of my embellishments without effecting the movement of the hands of the clock. So I added a strip of Card to the back to lengthen the base area, and a Tim Holtz Clock Die cut and Paper doily to the back at the top. This gave me extra room to play with!

I coloured my girls with Promarkers using mainly Pinks And Browns to go with my Clock! It is the first time I have used this colour combo, and I love it! he he
I have used a lot of different embellishments, die cuts by Tim Holtz, Wooden Kaisercraft Shapes, Roses by Wild Orchid Crafts, Charms, Lace, Ribbon and Doilies from my stash. The Circle Sentiment is from LOLV.

This little sweetie is available HERE

And this one is HERE

I am so pleased with how my first clock turned out, and I am sure I will be trying some other altered projects very soon.

I would love you to pop on over to the Aussie My-Besties Challenge Blog and check out the other stunning projects the DT ladies have come up with!

Then Add your own creation for us all to admire!

I hope you have a wonderful week, and I will be back tomorrow to show you something new!
Hugs Julie x

This is gorgeous Julie. You've done a great job making the working area bigger, the whole things looks as if it should have always been that way. Colours, embellishments, everything fits wonderfully. I too love your colour combo, definitely one i'm going to try, although i don't think i have any browns that are light enough...Oh dear I can feel a trip to the shops coming up x
